I wouldnt suggest these floaters for a newly set up tank, they are absorb plenty of nutrients and when nutrients lack the plant will just melt away.

I think once the plant is established, the surface movement won't matter. Atleast that's how it is with me.. As long as the lighting and the room humidity is good, the plant should grow well
