Well I just got a new plant from a member on here, and I am quite pleased with it. It is a red rubin, and is nice and big.

I believe it was originally in a pot. This maybe caused the roots to bee somewhat long and dense? Anyway you can see from the pictures the root structure is great. Should I trim it, break it up, or just leave it alone?

Leaving it alone is okay, but my substrate isn't quite deep enough for the roots to be burried. In the last picture probably 2 inches of roots are buried. Look at the photos and tell me what you think.

Also please ignore the cloudy tank in the last picture, that is just dust from stirring up the substrate to plant, and should be gone in a couple hours.

Thanks!
