Has anyone had problems keeping these critters. Every aquarium I have ever had, I've not been able to keep these guys alive. I've tested everything in my tank and all is perfect. Temperature is a constant 77 degrees. I recently got 150 blue hermits, 100 scarlets and 100 astrea snails. No problem keeping blue hermits or the snails, but the red scarlets seem to start dying the first day and gradually drop off completely within 10 days. This has happened before in another tank and I just quit trying thinking it was somehow me, but this is a different tank and I have everything in it including sps corals. I had 100 and now am down to probly less than 20. And no, I have no fish or shrimp that might like to eat them. Right now there are no shrimp and 3 tangs. That's it. Anyone have similar experiences or any ideas?

I don't know. They tend to graze more on the live rock than the blue legs, so maybe the tangs don't leave them enough to eat.
From what I have heard the scarlets are less aggressive than the blue-legs (which is good in general) except I have heard alot of people saying that their blue legs will pretty quickly get rid of the scarlets because of their relatively non aggressive nature. Maybe look around a bit and see if you cant see some of them fighting? I dont know if 150 blues can kill off 100 scarlets in 10 days, but it might be part of the problem.
