K so - I got 2 shrimp from an online store about a year or so ago. They are clearly, not the species that I ordered.... but I have NO CLUE what they actually are. They are blood red and "big" for a shrimp. They are not the size of RCS (I have those too) they are larger - but smaller than a bamboo shrimp. They do have fans... I have no clue what they are. They are skiddish, and before I pull a piece of driftwood out of my 30g invert tank for a pic, I thought I would try a post to see if anyone maybe had an idea?? I see them maybe 3 times a month...
thoughts?

yea I was afraid of that... stand by for pics..

These sound interesting, and could even be one of those Atyid species that rarely end up in the aquarium trade ... will stay tuned for pics.

K sorry still here -- finally got pics of one of them - skiddish lil buggers. As a size reference that little red thing next to the huge red shrimp, is an adult RCS
