I just can't seem to get rid of my red slime algae. I got some stuff at the LFS to treat for it, it seemed to work but a week later, back it came en force. Are there any other solutions? Thanks

Specs: 55gallon, 45lbs live rock, 2 ocellaris clowns, 1 royal gramma, 2 cleaner shrimps, and a bunch of hermit crabs and astrea snails.

Increase the water flow, keep calcium and alkalinity up, decrease the feeding, skim heavily, use RO/DI water to top off and for changes, rinse all frozen foods before feeding, remove manually all that you can, and if you can get a refugium with marco algae in the setup to outcompete it then do so.
It's a giant pain that has to be fought from many fronts, but you can win if you don't give up.
