Anyone out there try this before? I've put this in my tank to get rid of cyano but there is no info on the amount of time for the treatment. Its been in there for 3 days now and I took out the collection cup on my skimmer so it wouldn't go nuts. So far it looks like its really doing the job it says it will do. My sand looks alot better.

I've used a product called Chemi Clean. You let it work for 24 hours, or, if not working, dose again for 24 hours, then resume carbon filtration and perform a 20% water change. Maybe yours is a similar product. By the way, I have waited several days to perform the water change without harm.

i have used it

if it comes with a tiny lil spoon then you use it for 48 hours and if itis gone do a 25% water change if not just do another treatment without water change the key is to remove all corbon filters and protien skimmers other wise it will the medicine

You are correct, chuck411fish . I was lazy and did not look up the Chemi Clean directions. My red cyano never has returned, so mine has been a one-time use.
