I have just been treating my fantail for a minor case of fin rot. The meds worked and she is on the mend. Today I noticed a small red spot on the under-side of her body, near her anus. The spot looks like a blood blister and hasn't got any larger throughout the day. She sometimes sleeps on the gravel bed so i was wondering if it could just be bruising from an injury? Or anything more serious? There are no other spots on her body and her behaviour is normal.

I have a 10 gallon tank with just this fish in. 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm NO2, 10ppm NO3. Just had a heat wave, the temperature did rise, could it be to do with stress? The tank temp rose by 4 degrees F, its normally around 75 F.

Any help would be appreciated.

i'll try and get some pics up asap, its alot less red today so i'm thinking it may just be an injury? The fin rot was treated with a product call interpet mouth and fin rot, i've used this product before and worked just a good. its just a treatment to be used every seven days till signs of improvement. i'll keep posting with how shes doing.
