I just noticed today, that on a broken off piece of corkscrew val, there are red spots on the leaf. Not brown or rust, but a scarlet red. What could have caused this. It's a 20 gal with hornwort and a couple of amazon spears and a green and white grass that I can't remember the name of. I have a diy CO2 injector run through an air stone. My lighting consists of ~14 hours/day of a single 20w grow-lux wide spec and a 10 watt compact with what I assume to be a cool white that came with it. I added Flourish ferts at the recommended area/tab about a week ago. The tank has been cycling about a month with 6 serpae tetras and a pleco with a aquaclear 30. The temp is held around 80 deg F.
What could be causing red spots?
I also have some brown spots on the occasional stem but those are disappearing and I've gotten a bunch of fresh green growth on all my plant species.
Thanks in advance.
