Red Stocking

Thanks! If I can find some vivid red platies I'll probably stick with them as they'll probably be easiest for me to handle.

Cherry barbs are one of my faves. But I'm committed to a school of cardinals and I can't fit a second school in a 10 gal (and I can't upgrade to a bigger tank ...the 10 gallon is a downgrade for me due to health reasons). Thanks for the idea, though!

No mystery snail has ever looked red to me.

How about dario dario. It's quite red, but awfully small - less than 1".

What about a red-honey gourami. They look a little orange, but a very nice fish. I have two in my 20 and I'm glad I chose them. They're a little smaller than the dwarfs and, from what I've heard heartier.

One of us must be a little colorblind (and hey, it could be me) but the maroon ones would do all right for what I have in mind.

Thought of that...but I'm looking for a bit more of a centerpiece fish.

Thanks!

Thanks! That's a cute fish you have. I do love gouramis, so I'll definitely look for a honey/red-honey one. I saw a cute juvie one in an LFS -- honey with a red tail. Hard to tell what it would grow up into. If they still have it when I go back in, I'll see if they're willing to hold it for me while I cycle this new tank.
