I had 2 once, and the one that I kept got the beat-down from the other one. I gave the tough one to my brother and he now lives with a bunch of cichlids and is quite ok in his new home and the cichlids know to keep their distance.
The one I kept is still ok, and owns my tank when my pleco isn't out and about.
