red-tail sharks and kuhlis

Anyone have any experience with a red-tail shark and kuhli loaches? A friend of mine has 30g tank with a red-tail and would like to add a small group (I guess 3-5) kuhli loaches. We've found plenty of info on cory cats going in with that shark but no info on the kuhlis.
