Red tail sharks with..

Well I will make sure I ask here before adding anything!

RTS will kill an angel, they are aggressive and shoulnt be kept with peaceful fish

Believe me, I know from experience the damage a red-tail can do. My brother brought one home to our 20 gallon when we were kids. It ate the fins off my betta, killed some of our guppies, and when it chewed a hole in my favorite and only dwarf gourami, my mother had had enough and flushed him down the toilet in anger.

And yes, sharks, be they bala or red-tail, can grow to be over 4 inches. I've seen it with my own eyes. Misinformation is all over the place. Before I came here, I NEVER knew clown loaches got any bigger than three inches because that's what I was told! That common plecostamos never outgrow the tankspace they are living in. That angelfish don't eat other live fishes in your aquarium (supposedly they were 'too docile to hunt'... riiiight).

So don't feel bad. It's easy to get bad info. The best thing to do is to research at least three online sites about a fish (which doesn't take more than 10 minutes or so, really) before you buy it and if you aren't getting any straight answers about it from any of them, either search a few more.... or come here!! That's what this place is for, right? ^__^

Yes the average is about 4 inches, mine is about 6 inches. He's a beast !

The only fish that could ever put him in his place was the Clown Knife I used to have and had to sell. But he's not too bad anymore. He doesn't hurt anything currently in my tank , he just likes to show them who's boss and make a full speed run at them every now and then just to seem them scatter, lol.
