Red Terror

green terrors have a reputation for not really living up to its name. most people with tell you how tame they are compared to other cichlids. now a red terror as far as i know can get overly aggresive. and would need to be housed in fairly large tank to accept tankmates.

You recomend 200gal min for a red terror but you said it would be fine to house two green terrors in a 55 gal

ehh i said a a 200gal min for those fish not just for the rt, and its because these fish need space between them to prevent fights, and 2 gts (male n female) are perfect for a 55gal. i know cuz this are national fishes in ecuador, and thats why i've been gone for a time, cause i was learning more about ecuador's animals, in galapagos too.

i dont want to fight or anything like that instead im happy you ask to prevent future misunderstandings :) and this is what i learned about gts.
no worries I misunderstood what you were saying I thought you were recomending a 200 gal for a single red terror The 55 gal would probabally work for a male female gt but a 75 would be better for turning around etc.

I keep a green terror with a JD jag and turquoise serevum and the serevum is not very agressive at all actually least agressive. Red terrors are pretty agressive and I agree 200 gal with the agressiveness and size for all of those above.
