Red Water Please Help

I have a 55 Gallon tank and over a course of 2 days my tank has turned red i did a 50 water change and the next day red again :duh:

Red? Could you describe it a little more? I have never heard of red water. Is there any scum on the surface?

the water has a red tint dont know if its a alge bloom of what nothing i put in the tank turned it red

Could be a diatom bloom, I suppose.

How are the nutrient (NO3, PO4) levels?

I know of red tide, can be caused by dinoflagellates, but don't think this can happen in our aquariums. Maybe if NSW is used.
