Redtailed Shark Question

In a larger tank, I would say yes. In a 29, I vote no--the adult size of the convicts, combined with the limited space, means that the pair will be able to beat the heck out of the rainbow and it won't have adequate room to hide.

Well if its a red tail black and not a rainbow, red tail black sharks can be agressive as hell, however, they alone get up to 5 inches or so.

I would say that the size tank you have is only fit for the convicts. There is a high chance that they will breed if they haven't yet. When they do, they are very agressive and will often kill other fish in their tank. And since they are a pair, it will be a tag team fight with no rules ;-) Any shark you put in there will be constantly chased around the tank and probably won't last long. If you want to add target fish, you need at least two, preferably three. But your tank isn't that big so just stick with the convicts.

> I would like to add one more fish, would a redtailed black shark be ok with the convicts, considering their aggressive temperment.

no.

Convicts like rosy reds. Well, at least mine do. Snacked on 4 when i was on vacation. mmm mmm :dance

You have the right idea. Rosey reds seem much more healthy than goldfish. Plus they are usually smaller so convicts can eat them.
