Reducing feeding to reduce Bio-Load

Hi Friends !

My 125 Liter tank is a bit heavily loaded. I usually feed only once a day and my Fishes have been happy like this for the last 2 months. I also sometimes skip feeding for a day or 2 to reduce the Bioload.

Is this ok ? I mean will my fish starve to death if I feed like this ?

I know that this is not a permanent solution and I will surely have to remove a few of the fishes to effectively reduce the Bioload, but for the time being will this work fine ?

Most fish can go days and days without food and be fine. In the wild they get nowhere near as much food as in a tank. About the only fish which are not OK missing food is fairly new and very young fry.

plenty of people feed every other day. their fish is fine. keep up with often large water changes i think would help more then anything.

I dont get why people say this. There is a constant supply of food for fish in lakes/oceans/rivers. You might not score a 10" fish to eat every night. But theres always bugs/crayfish etc in the water at all times. Iv never seen a aquarium fish grow faster than a fish in the lake.

I think the same thing. there is tons of food in the wild!
