Reef cleaners?

Here's my experience, file it under "for what it's worth".
I've got 6 bumble bee snails. I don't see them eating my hair algae. I also had a False Lemon Peel Tang. It did not touch algae either, instead it nipped on my soft corals. If you have a algae problem I would look for the cause. Overfeeding, not enough nutrient export, phosphates too high....
I've found that trying to solve a tank problems using "natural animals" only work 20/30 percent of the time. Usually it causes me more problems, and a animal dies in the process.
I think the trap is, we look for a quick fix and it's a easy excuse is to get a animal that "we think" will solve our problem when infact it's really a water quality/maintenance problem... Which we don't want to hear.

Thanks guys for all the help.:)

I've been at it for almost two years now and have stabalized my water conditions and have learned alot the hard way.

I think i've pin pointed it at the duration of time my lights are on each day....

What should be the length of time for day and night hour?

my fault.......

thought algae couldn't grow without light.....

we have some tough algae in massachusetts

with no nutrients you have no algae, regardless of how bright or what spectrum lighting you have.

excess nutrients cause algae, not light.
