Reef Safe Angelfish - Lamarck?s Angel

Exposure, aperture is fantastic! (not to mention the quality of the corals and rock in the background!)
What camera are you using? Settings, speed, exposure comp etc?

Thanks for the nice comments!

These were taken with a Nikon D-100 outfitted with a 105mm lens. I honestly don’t remember what settings were used, but know that when shooting fish I normally use a shutter speed of at least 125 to freeze movement. By looking at the depth of field in the pictures I would imagine the f-stop was around f 11.

When shooting tank pictures I never use one of the automatic settings because of the wide degree of difference in light. Shot in manual mode with metering for correct exposure on the brightest portion.

Wowza! Your not mucking around there with that type of equipment, but really, your either professional, or a very keen enthusiast to get shots like that! Love the urchin, and the Dendrophylia! I am still grappling to get mediocre shots with my Olympus C-8080, I'm sure the camera can do it, I just need a lot more skill (self taught)! You just raise a new dimension in photography for me too aspire to! Keep up posting those pic's, and maybe give a couple of pointers, like f-stops, iso's, speed etc. cause those shots are just sooo hard to get!

More great reef pictures! Not sure about reef safe but I'm glad yours is!
