Other than a 6 line wrasse what kind would you recommend for a good pest scavenger? I don't have pests (that I know of) but thought I'd start researching which wrasse would be a good future addition to the 55g. It does have some SPS, LPS and zoas in it now. I do plan on getting a clam in the future as well.

I do like the look of the flashers and fairies. I'm not opposed to a six line but since I have time to research (my tank has only been fallow for 32 days now) I thought I'd ask for some advice.

I'm trying to avoid coris since they are known to flip corals over and caution needs to be used around shrimp and inverts. Leopards are beautiful and will do the job but I read that they are similiar to mandarians in their level of care.

yeah. as far as pest conrol (and copepod consumption), six lines, fourlines, and leapords are your best bet.

I love the leopards but aren't they difficult to care for? Similiar to a mandarian?

By the way Fishie, OT, but what will you be studying in school?

they are one of the harder wrasses. and for pest control, a six line or four line would be better anyways. but man do they look cool :)
in going to Wesleyan University here in CT next year for Biology and then plan on going to grad school somewhere for marine bio.

The Christmas are gorgeous but too much of a threat with inverts for me. Did you check out the price on the Lineatus you linked to? I'm not nearly brave enough to spend that much on a fish at this point. Maybe once my husbandry skills are matured.
