Hello Nano-Reef
I am 22, currently working on a marine biology degree and I own an aquarium maintenance business. I am fairly successful and have been fortunate to enough to have a few of my close friends working for me. Day to day we work on some awesome reef tanks, avoid hazards, use related products, and take advantage of techniques acquired over the years. We have decided to setup a blog dedicated to all things reef related. We plan to offer news (new products, rare finds), techniques (photos/videos from our maintenance accounts), and other related information.
We have alot to share and are looking to be you're daily stop for reef hobby/industry news.
We are in no way trying to take forum viewers. This website has not been live for a week yet. We are currently looking into advertising opportunities and have hopes to collaborate with forums.
Please comment here or on the blog. Tell us what you think, what you'd like to see.

...some more info about me:
I have been in the hobby for more than 10 years. I started when I was 10 years old, and was successful at breeding dwarf seahorses. You may want to raise the BS flag since I was so young... but the truth is, the only thing my parents helped with at that time was funding. :screwy:
After the dwarf seahorses, I set up a FOWLR tank and also setup another tank for larger species of seahorses.
A few years down the road, I went to work at a LFS. This is where I was put on to the idea of aquarium maintenance. A few customers would come in specifically to speak with me. Eventually, after helping them out of some tank problems- they decided to ask me to maintain their aquariums biweekly. At the time I had no idea this was even a type of business... I was doing it for the money, but didn't really see any future with it.
Eventually... I was too busy cleaning tanks. I had to leave working at the LFS. A few years later, I got a tax id number, a LLC, and a handful of suppliers. I couldnt be happier!
Thanks!
