refugium lighting

I have two PC bulbs laying around, and I was thinking of getting a ballast and using them over my refugium. problem: they're 6500k full spectrum. Is this Ok or should I go with 60/ro lighting? I only plan to have LR, LS, and some macroalgaes in the refugium. Will 6500k lights cause weird problems?

Also, is it ref-you-GEE-um or ref-YOU-gee-um?

That spectrum is fine- best in fact.
But in truth I found that a simple incandescent bulb worked best for me.
