Hi Friends !

I just got this chemical KH2P04 from a local chemical shop but instead of Monopotassium Phosphate its labelled as POTASSIUM DIHYDROGEN ORTHOPHOSPHATE ( POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE MONOBASIC ) but the forumla is written as KH2PO4 only and its written as KH2PO4 = 136.09

Just wanted to request for some advice if its the same thing thats needed for fertilization and if it can be used safely ?

Also whats the KH2PO4 = 136.09 thing ?

Kindly guide me...
Thanks !
Kush

I think its the same. Here is an MSDS for KH2P04 and the synonyms appear to show its the same thing

My guess is that the 136.09 is some sort of molar ratio or weight... I did a little googling and see 'mgm' after a number like you have written. I have seen mgm used as an abbreviation for milligram (usually mg) but that doesn't seem to make sense in the context that you are using, unless I'm missing something.

I read in another thread (might have been a sticky) that Fleet Enema could be used to dose KH2PO4, but when I bought it it says the active ingredient is Sodium Phosphate.
Is it still OK???

You probably read that you can use Fleet Enema to dose phosphate, not potassium.
