Regarding Leleupi Color - Kindly Guide me

I would say yes but be prepared to lose a few in battle situations and i would make sure you add a lot of rocky retreats.. Hey Kush post a new photo for an update i would love to see your progress buddy..

The snail if and when the Front's decide to eat them should do good in the tank.. yeah i wouldn't remove the shrimp and or tetras they may end up on the menu you could also fast the fish for a 3 to 4 days and the Front's should get hungry enough to eat the smaller stuff, but be careful what you wish for because if you gonna add smaller Tang's they too may end up on the menu..

You should be fine Kush with that size of tank just make sure there is plenty of rocky retreats for everyone to run and hide.. Post a update photo of your progress..

Hi Pittbull,

Hope all is well and great there !

Thanks a lot for the kind replies and for guiding me as always - really appreciate it...

I'll soon take a few updated Pics and post them here - would love to hear your kind comments / suggestions on the same. Will try to do it today itself...

Just wanted to request you to kindly guide me on the following -

1. Will adding just 3 Duboisis be ok ? Its just that they're really very expensive here and I cant even think of buying more. Or should I just buy one and add it to the tank, just to increase the diversity of fish ? Kindly guide me.

2. The new Leleupis are really small ( just about an inch ) and I was very worried that my Fronts and Yellow Labs might consider them as a treat ! But its 2 days now and all the leleupis are fine and have not been eaten. I'm feeding the frozen adult artemia, just to give them a good start and make them settle in the new tank - will this be ok ? I'm also worried about their growth rate - will they grow up fairly quickly ?

3. These ( in this thread - http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207156 ) are the old photos of my tank ( will update the new ones asap ) and nothing has been changed so far except the new fishes - 4 new large frontosas ( about 6 to 7 inches ), a few yellow labs of 2" each and the tetras, shrimps, leleupis. I want to add a few more rocky structures ( using similar rocks but of smaller size ) - just wanted to request you if you can kindly guide me on which area of the tank would be better for a new rock pile - I've been thinking hard but cant decide. I dont want to disturb the existing large rock piles on each end of the tank, because 2 large frontosas have colonized each of them and also I really like the look of it. Will be a great help if you can kindly guide me and give me suggestions to build a few smaller rock piles for the leleupis and the new julidochromis that I hope I'll be able to buy...

Please help and guide me Friend - thanks a lot for all the care and sorry if I'm bothering too much...

Take care and Have a Wonderful weekend !
Lots of Regards and Care
Your friend from India :)
Kush

I would only do one Duboisi or no less than 10 adding 3 of them most likely will result in just one making it due to harassment aggression stress than death..

As for rock structures and you current setup i would add a couple small stacks of rocks in between the two bigger piles small enough for the smaller fish but not big enough for the Front's to enter so that they will have a place of Zen..

The food sounds good just mix it up a bit with prepared foods and frozens just to add a diversity for all inhabitants plus you have to be careful adding hervivores with carnivores.. The Front's will need the higher protein and the Troph Duboisi will need the veggies if not they will bloat on you very quickly and will perish i would not add them just for that reason alone..

In my experience the Lelupi grow quickly and the Julido's are sorta slower..

I think you would be fine to keep track with the Front's, Julido's, Labs and Lelupi that way all will be fine with the foods you have at your disposal adding Tropheus will only spell disaster due to high proteins and wasting of money..
