does anyone know or has anyone tried to take parts such as the bubble counter, solenoid, needle valve off the Milwaukee ma957 unit and put them on Rex Griggs 'best aquarium regulator?'

Also, anyone have rex's regulator and can compare that to something cheaper like a milwaukee?

the gauges and output on the milwaukee are 1/8 NPT.

the gauges are standard.
Word of advise though is to pitch the milwaukee low pressure side gauge and get a 30PSI gauge instead. I got one online for about $8.

the needle valve and bubble counter are 2 seperate pieces on the milwaukee. if you look closely the needle valve has a hose barb inside the bubble counter.

From the factory these milwaukee regulators are assembled VERY tight. You will most likely have a tough time getting it apart, but if you can dissassemble it, the parts are all pretty much interchangeable.

thanks for the info. if i bought a standard bare bones regulator from rex grigg, would it work to just screw on my milwaukee solenoid onto that? followed by one of his needle valves? or is it more complicated than i think?

provided its all 1/8" NPT, you should be fine
