remember water

Gee, usually when I see posts like this from you they are time stamped 4:30am. Were you just getting up this time or still had not gone to bed?

Well I am assuming that while water will remember having flowed over new carbon in a new filter...that at the same time the carbon is making the water forget some bad memories too.

LOL! :bday:

Mvigor thats a totaly relavent point.
I saw it on discovery channel sorry theres no url for that or maybe there is if your interested enough have you heard of useing google?

Tellecubby- I think what they are trying to say is, give us more. Your post of "water has memory taking on aspects of what it comes n contact with" is irrelevant on it's own. Try posting "hey I saw a cool show about water retaining a memory of previous substances, check out this link http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn3817 Do you think it has any relavance to fishkeeping?" That will spark a discussion, or at least give some folks insight as to why you posted that statement.

Interesting aricle. I especially liked the end where it is said that no blind was used and there was no mention of how many times it was done and reproduced.....................a scientific experiment to test a hypothesis without a blind (control) and no clear examples of precision. This man has found an entirely new method of undertaking a scientific experiment! Let's just hand over the Nobel Prize right now!
