so i have a corner tank that has a top with two spots for strip lights and they both have glass that the light has to go thru. its a planted tank with a gentle current and i kow the glass is there to keep water out of the lights but would it improve the lights ability to reach the plants if i was to remove the glass panels? i already have a hole in the back of the tank cut with a CF and those plants are shooting up now!

yeah i was thinking about that approach andsuspending the lights above the tank but i really dont want to loose anyfish to jumping or anything of that nature

i have in there now
9 neons
5 don rio flame tetras
9 amano shrimp
3 peppered cories
2 african dwarf frogs
1 crowntail betta
and two CA eaters

here is the tank as it stands now you can see how much light was badly needed in the back corner and how much the plants took off when theygot it
