I have a huge bunch of anacharis in one of my tanks and it now has a great number of snail eggs .....that I don't want to become baby snails!

Is there something I can dip this anacharis bundle in to kill the snails while they are still in their egg state?

I had the same question. My research says a dip a potassium permanganate solution will do it. A commercially prepared version is Permoxyn, made by Kordon. (It's marketed to neutralize other meds and as a disease dip.) You can also buy potassium permanganate crystals and create your own dip; there's a guy on eBay that sells it in various quantities.

I have also seen alum recommended.

I bought a bottle of permoxyn, and will be giving it a try this weekend on some snail-loaded plants I just bought.

I just reach in and pull them off... theyre about the consistancy of snot (I worked with children) and stick together.
