rena canister prices skyrocket?

I set up a tank a year and a half ago. The price of an xp3 was 100$ put could easily be found fr 80 -90. now after shipping i cant seem to find one undr 140-150 without media. all of a sudden an eheim 2028 with all media for 250 seems pretty good. what the heck happened?:eek3:

Isn't the 2028 eheim's biggest model like $480? If so where did you see it for $250?

Dr. F&S had the Eheim 2028s on sale for a bit, around $230 and I even bought a pair of 2028 for $199 each at a Petsmart, that was clearing out their stock of Eheim filters.

I just picked up a 2028 brand new off ebay for 225 shipped with all the media included. The cheapest i seen the xp3 on ebay was like 145-150 after shipping then id have to buy the media, was a no brainer for me.
