Rena "Smartheater?"

irishspy

There is a stargate in my aquarium.
Has anyone had any experience with the SmartHeater, which replaces the intake on a Rena SmartFilter or Filstar?

Yeah. I've been leaning toward the Visitherm Stealth, but the idea of putting the heater "in-line" with the filter is very appealing.

Absolutely! :) Heck, I have a functional 300w heater in my tank, and I'm considering ordering one of those in-line heaters. Its more aesthetically pleasing, AND functional! My only curiosity would be for people with larger fish (not myself, smaller schooling fish for me) and whether or not those heaters could take more of a beating than a standard glass heater.

no idea about that particular heater, but I have a Hydor ETH in-line heater.

they are top notch, and I would highly recommend one if you're running a canister filter.
