is this to mutch for a 40gal breeder it will be a community tank but i just couldnt pass on the deal for another canister 30 buck new and in box let me know how u feel about that mutch filtration

I think its fine, you can always break up the flow by decor or a spray bar, if necessary.

yep there is always options to keep the current down.

just a note with the Cascade canisters, i have one, and i dread opening it.. those things are a PAIN to get back together once theyre apart.
