2 XP2's and 2 Emp. 400's on my 125, and a 304 and HOT magnum on my 55.
The 304 came with the tank, so I tried it out.
Love my XP's, but so far have no complaints with the 304 either.
XP's seem easier to clean, but that may just be me as I'm more used to them.
I would probably not buy a new fluval simply because I'm the filstar type and have been for years, but I also would keep what you have if it's doing it's job.
