Repashy Foods

is it a powder that you mix with something and freeze? how much powder is need to make what amount of food?

It's a powder you mix with boiling water to form a gel at room temperature, no need for freezing although you can if you want.

The mix is 1 part powder to 3 parts water. You can make as much or as little as you want.

I was in on this product developmetn for the past year or so, and also ama distributor. I have a thread going in my forum, and information on my website should you want to see the nutritional breakdown.

It is a very versatile food- you can adhere it to rocks/wood for your grazers, feed it in cubes, freeze it and use a shredder (lemon zester works great) to place it in the water column, etc. It is fantastic for fry as it allows them to graze and the food stays stable in the water column for at least 24 hours, though I have left it much longer without fungus or clouding.

Another nice thing about it is that because of the stink, it is extremely palatable. This makes it a good choice for making medicated foods which can be added to the mix. Meds ingested are generally much more effective than those placed in teh water column.

Here is a link to my website which has the different formulas and nutritional information:

Please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have!

Right now there are four diets available:
Soilent green (an aufwuchs replacement)
Community plus- krill based community diet
Meat pie- for the carnivorous fish (catfish)
Shrimp Souffle- scavenger diet that is squid and krill based with added carotenoids.

There are several more diets coming out. Allen has said there will be a breeding conditioning formula (not a long term staple diet, but a supplement to condition things like apistos to spawn) that will have a very high fat and protein content. A color enhancer (Redrum) that is very high in carotenoids, a xlivore diet for wood eating panaques and another one which is skipping my brain at the moment.

Thanks for the information. It does sound better than those frozen cubes at the lfs that just collect frost bite. The community formula, that would be ok for corys, plecos, and inverts too?

I'll have to try it, where do you get it. Just the local pet store, or do you have to order it special?

Some stores sell it, i also sell it.

Community is a versatile diet for most community fish.

lol. Ted Judy has made a few good videos onthe different applications of the foods as well. He does an awesome job with video. I took him some samples when I visited his clubs to speak and he has become a staunch supporter (and seller) as well.

I put a small chunk in my denison barb tank (11 large denisons, 6 syno petricola, 2 red tail garra, 1 yo-yo loach, 2 angels, 1 gourami) and they destroyed this cube within a matter of 2 mins!

I have never seen them do anything like this before.

I think I'm going to try some other applications of it in my next batch, but my fish are loving it.
