Replacing filter?

I probably know less about aquariums than most people forget around here. The people here are very knowledgeable and considerate. I search and read alot. I like to hear varying opinions. I learn something new almost everyday, The trick is being open-minded.

Reddog, that was a great article and very useful! Thank goodness for this forum and luckily I didn't change the filter media as it stated on the filter instructions. Thanks everyone!

its great what people come up with when they search. i have to say in the last 3 years i havent replaced the sponge in my fluval. i switch out parts of the floss here and there.
