As much as I hate to admit it, I think I may have to find my gibby a new home. He's grown quicker than I had anticipated and the living arrangements that I was planning on in a few months don't seem to be working out - hence, no new tank for him. He hasn't outgrown my 15 yet, but I'm sure he will within 6 months or so.
That being said, I'm trying to figure out what to replace him with. I like plecos in general (really like the look of gibbiceps but yea...). MY LFS has some clowns in stock (which is what I originally was going to get when I went there 6 months ago, but that's a long story) and I may get an albino BN.
I know these guys will also outgrow a 15 but I'll be able to upgrade the tank size for them (a 100+ gallon for the gibby was really out of the question, but something for a 5" clown wouldn't be unmanageable).
Also, considering I'm planting my tank soon I think having a couple little guys in there instead of the monster my gibby is turning in to would probably be best in the long run.
My question is whether or not they'll get along. I've heard the BN are a bit more aggressive and may chase off the clown, who tend to be more shy. Is this true or is the internet playing tricks on me again :silly:
any other comments on this idea of mine are of course more than welcome :grinyes:
