replacing plants due to BBA

Angyles, what's your photo period like? I have reduced bba significantly by cutting back to a seven hour period and spot dosing with Excel/H202.

8 hour photo period at 2.5WPG standard flourescent.

Try spot dosing and cut back on lighting before you toss everything...Unless it's not savable of course!

I keep having this issue - in ONE tank out of 27, which is my brackishwater tank, both the original and the upgrade. It seems to be only where the output from the filter hits the plants. I used all new plants and rocks when I set this tank up, and here it is again.

I have tried peroxide, it did NOTHING. I want to try Excel, BUT, I purposefully grow clado and green algae in this tank. What to do!!??!!

sounds like its in the filter, kris. no where else in my 55 but hangs out of the filter. maybe try to take it apart and boil or bleach it out

if you simply rip out all your plants and put fresh ones in their to get rid of BBA and change nothing else BBA will simply come back again.
