Awhile back, I sent an email asking about providing proof of legal purchase for the restricted species. As long as the species in question is legal in your state, if you obtain them within your state, you're fine. If they find that you've bought them over state lines, they will confiscate them, however, they won't bother you if they haven't found anything about illegal transport. Apparantly, the story I heard about the previous breeder wasn't exactly true. Anyways, the Bridgesii permit lift is for no other reason than because the federal identifiers are now able to identify hobby juvenile bridgesii from other species. Thank goodness for that, I was thinking the worst! They're going to publish this information soon. :D

thats good,...... but which ones are they confused with?? and do they get to be pretty colors like briggs?

if not then the only thing would be the natural wild type to be confused about right??

wait they lifted the rule that you have to have a permit to ship brigs?

I think that's why they said specifically "hobby" bridgesii, but I don't know for sure. They can confuse them with several other pomacea, primarily canas and haustrums, and, no they don't come in purples, blues, jades, etc, only wild type and golden in canas.

Yes, there's another thread about the bridgesii permits being lifted. Nobody knew exactly why they were lifted though, so I figured I'd post it. :)

awesome!!!!!!

Yeah, they're updating the website soon, they just haven't fixed it yet. The bridgesii aren't considered plant pests.
