So I'm at the point right now where, since I'm already going to be doing some work on my tank, that if I wanted to do a complete rescape then now would be the best time.
I haven't decided if I'm going to or not, but I figure if I can think of something (or if someone can think of something :grinyes
that i really like, then I'll go ahead and do it.
I recently started DIY CO2 and I'm going to be pulling out the dwarf clover and replacing it with a glosso and dwarf hairgrass carpet.
This is kinda what the tank looks like right now:
except that both the sword in the middle and the alternanthera are both gone and the hardware (filter, and now a CO2 diffuser) have moved a bit. otherwise the tank is pretty much the same as in the picture.
So the plants that I'll have at my disposal are:
crypt wendtii, rotala roundifolia, anubias nana, glosso, and dwarf hairgrass
I obviously have the two pieces of driftwood in there, but I'm not attached to them. My lfs doens't have a great selection of driftwood, and the stuff they do have is ridiculously expensive...but I wouldn't mind putting some other hardscape in there.
I don't really know what to do with it...this isn't my forte unfortunately, especially considering my limited resources.
If tank conditions are important, here ya go:
15 gallon AGA
40 Watt CFL, DIY CO2
dosing with flourish, potassium; have yet to find need for nitrates, but if I do then I'll start doing that too
substrate is normal gravel (maybe 1in) on top of Schultz aquatic soil (probably 2-3in)
inhabitants are pretty much what's in the signature
can't think of anything else
as always, thanks in advance for any advice :grinyes:
