Rescaped...opinions?

those are cool rocks... where did you get them? I am starting not to like my rocks so much anymore... possible rescape on the horizon...
 
I got them at my local lanscaping store. they were cheap :) those rocks are heavier than they look. I have at least 150lbs in my tanks...
 
Most rocks you come across at the landscaping store should be aquarium safe. The odd "pretty" ones, like fool's gold, are not safe.

I bought my granit boulders at Menard's and have had no trouble. Just clean them well and make sure they don't have any rusty looking spots.
 
cool... now I have a local source I can go check... for whatever reason, never dawned on me to try landscaping rocks... go figure... thanks for the tip... I want natural looking rocks anyway... not "pretty" ones! LOL...
 
yup, and best of all they are a million times cheaper than if you buy rock at your lfs. I didnt go to a chain store for mine though, there are usually a few local landscaping places around each town

oh yeah... actully, we have quite a few around here. I'll poke around and see what I turn up. again, I appreciate the tip! :thumbsup:
