we just picked up a "jelly bean" cichlid from someone who was moving away. he came with a 30 gallon tank HOB filter and a catfish like thing that I can't remember the name of. (its the kind shaped like glass catfish but it's not see thru- it's silver. the anal and caudal fin are merged like a knife fish)
ANYWAYTS the cichlid has gill worms. the ugly bushy red ones that stick out of his gills... the catfish doesn't seem to have them. I've looked though my medications and none of them specifically say they get rid of gill worms.. (some meds get rid of gill flukes, but not worms)
what do I do?
i've set up the 30 gallon as a QT tank so I can treat him/them there.
