I rescued these 2 little guys from the pet store. I only go to this store maybe 3 times a year, i don't like it very much, but sometimes they have good prices on food and other things so I went to check it out. The lady was just scooping these 2 out of their tank to feed them to some huge oscars because they were the last 2 in the tank and she wanted to get the tank ready for some new tropical fish so she was going to get rid of these guys. I saw her scoop them out and head over to where the Oscars were so I told her i'd take them if she was just going to feed them to the oscars. I got them for free, and i'm actually happy i got them because they will be going into my pond next summer so i'll let them grow a bit before they go in there cuz they're just little right now. The big Shubunkin is one of my original fish, shes not a new one. Just the little goldie with the black tips on its fins and the white/orange one are new! They're nothing special or jaw dropping, but i'm happy with them :grinyes: I didn't intend on going in there and coming out with fish haha. The tank itself is nothing special either, the plants are all fake. All i want it to do is keep my fishies alive for the winter, and so far it is haha.

Oh yeah, and the last picture was a picture I took of one of the lily flower and pads on my pond this past summer. It kind of looks like a picture you'd see in a gardening magazine hey?

Thanks for all the comments. They definetly are lucky that I was there, otherwise they would have been Oscar food. They're a bit skinny right now as I don't think they were getting fed as much as they should have been, but I fed them not to long ago along with my big shub. and they ate everything that they could and then some. It would be cool if they were a male and a female and then when they went into my pond they may have some babies, I get babies pretty much every year. Do you think they (comets) would breed with my shubunkin once they got big enough? Or would they stick with comets only??

They can breed, technically they are the same species. Nice save btw....actually, since you are in Canada...Kick save and a beauty!!!
