thanks for the help folks, i just finished resealing the tank a few minutes ago.
one thing i wish i did was NOT tape off the tank like i saw in many writeups, because when i removed the tape i had to fix all the silicone all over the place. this didnt turn out to be the best job in the world but it will work.
yep....complete failure, when removing the tape i separated several sections from corner. Next attempt will not include any tape, ill just do it freehand, because the sections i fixed after tape removal all look great.
I'm glad I did use tape, I used a spoon to do my corners wide and after they cured for 3 days I used a straightedge and a razor to trim all my corners perfectly strait and it came out perfect.
My friend Ken seals all my tanks that I refurbish. He never tapes anything and does them freehand. They look just as good as any professionally sealed tank.
