restocking my childrens tank!!!

If you choose kuhli loaches don't add them until the tank has been restocked. They need well established tanks, hiding spots and substrate that isn't sharp. Don't forget to buy a quality heater since you're converting from a cold water to a tropical fish. Don't buy a cheap brand since they are more prone to failure. I also agree with adding the fish a few at a time since your tank probably isn't totally cycled anymore. The sooner you start adding fish the better.
 
Thanks for the advice i'm probably gonna keep to getting a few guppies for them as i can add some to my main tank if needed and i know plenty of people with tanks who would take them if needed as well!!.I've already moved my dwarf gouramis and a cory into the tank yesterday to keep the cycle going so i'll also be adding another 2 corys at least!! but i'll deffinatly will be looking around at the lfs first at the fish you've mentioned!!
 
Well, (as you've probably already read), your goldfish didn't die of old age. :| But at least you kept thme in a 15 gal cycled tank instead of a small bowl. That's a start. *nods*
