Rethinking stock w/ Discus

there are a lot of discus breeders that don't ike tha angel discus mix.

I know of a breeder that keeps wild heckels with altums.

I would make sure the angels have been isolated tho. as there is rumor that the angels are subjected to HITH and can spread it to the discus(aong with other issues)
I had my angels for months when I got my discus..I q'd the discus as they were young..grew them out for a few months then added them in with the angels.

the angels were about 6-7 mmoths old when I added the discus who were about 5 months .

they get along fine and the large mae marble angel use to hang with the discus until he formed a pair with a leopard female.

the discus are now larger than the angel and earned to compete for food..these cobalt reds are not shy fish and may actualy a bit agressive for discus..they feed from my hand/spoon.
discus are very cool fish and have a ton of personaity..they greet me everytime I enter the room ..the spawning pair don't even get upset when I reach into the tank.

btw, rams and keyholes work well with discus too.

Ok so this is what I am planning so far....75g for discus not cichlids (that is what I was going to use it for first), 7-8 discus, 6-8 neon & 6-8 glolight tetras, 2-4 rams...would that be considered fully stocked or is there any way to maybe add a shoal of harliquin rasbaras (misspelled)? I like sand as a substrate so that is what I will be using and plants w/ driftwood.
