Alright! I found these in my favorite store, which is farther away, so I picked up two. They were calling them golden marbles. Sound right? Well, only one survived the trip home, so I took pics of it in the bag and called them up right away, and they told me I can freeze the body and bring it in next time and they'll replace it. The survivor is in the qt set up. Let's hope me makes it! These, btw, were from a local breeder, not some random fish warehouse! They were from the same litter, and I got a big one and a small one, hoping for a male and female. Now, of course, I'll have to just hope I get a female when I get the replacement. And I'm taking a bucket and one of those oxygenating tank buddies so she doesn't have to be in a bag without enough air.
Get this - because I've spent so much money there in the past, I had a fully stamped discount card for $10 worth of fish. So I paid a grand whopping $3.23 for two young golden marbles! Well, one, but the other I'll get on my way home next week from picking my daughter up from visiting her grandparents for her winter break.
Also! Because I'd been there a bit ago and got their 10 ghosts for $5 thing, and because it was near closing and the guys were fried they charged my 10 for my 10 shrimps, I brought my receipt in this time (I was told I could do this) and they gave me a $5 credit! So I got ten (or so - the lady proclaimed to be lousy at counting) more ghost shrimps for free!! Well, sort of, since I'd paid for them before. *lol* Three of them are berried!! Score!
Photos will come! I even have a couple shots of the dead "girl," if anyone wanted to see. She had some gorgeous irridescence to her. It's too bad she died. Maybe I would have been better off with one of the others... like the golden marble with platinum scales! *sigh* Oh well.
