I was looking at your DIY reactor and have 4 questions for you.

1. Does the placement matter, ie does it have to be vertical or can it be horizontal?

2. How much is in this parts lists do you think?

3. And how did you connect the CO2 tubing to the CO2 inlet?

4. And did you fill it with bioballs or is it empty inside?


I was going to email you but I didn't see anywhere else where these questions were asked and I figured it might be benificial to others.

1. I normally run them vertical. I know some people have run them horizontal and had no problems. YMMV.

2. Not quite sure I understand the question.

3. On the reactor I use the small hole large tubing method. Gas tight seal every time.

4. Empty.

Well I just picked up fittings yesterday for a 1.5" one and it was around $11. But I had to get a bit creative because the BORG was out of a lot of PVC parts.

That doesn't include the price of the pipe, CO2 tubing or cement.
