River Manifold Tank - Build Thread

Looking terrific!

awesome looking!

A few more updated shots. Added fish and some vals in the background. Still need to arrange the vals better, just kind of shoved them in there for now...

Fish stock:

4 Bosemani Rainbows
14 Praecox Rainbows
4 Otocinclus
2 Farlowella
6 Hillstream Loaches

I need to find a way to get the current to now flow back towards the powerheads on the front an back sides of the tank. Any ideas? Also, the Praecox Rainbows seem to hang out on the top portion of the tank furthest away from the powerheads. Maybe the current is too strong for them?

I'm thinking about trying to aim the powerheads at the front and back of the tank kind of diagonally towards the right side. This might alleviate the back-current.

Comments and suggestions, please! :nilly:

Nice looking tank. :)

I have a question about the stand you are using, is it the Manhattan stand from Petco? How do you like it? Is it sturdy?

hmmmm.....maybe route a power head discharge to a spray bar that runs the depth of the tank near the surface...?

Looking really great! Needs a black background. Any close ups of the hill stream loaches?

Yeah, was thinking about something like that. Or maybe a koralia nano near the surface.

I'm gonna give it a week's worth of tinkering with the power heads before I sink any more money into the tank.

Working on both of those, haha.

Yes, it is the Manhattan from Petco. Only stand I use. All 3 of my tanks use them. Best value/price to aesthetics ratio, in my humble opinion.
