Love all the pictures great job...I was thinking I would like a tank like this one day as well...maybe use a sump type system so then you could pump the water back in using spray bars, like 2 or 3 on the one end would be pretty cool and the overflow on the other side of the tank....?....perhaps

That could certainly work. I wanted a system that was completely contained within the walls of the aquarium so that there would be no equipment on the floor since I have a open-style stand.
Excellent build and beautiful result. I'm thinking of doing something similar with my 125 when it's ready to be set up, except with a poret mattenfilter on one end rather than the smaller sponge intake covers. I have an aquaclear 110 powerhead that would provide plenty of flow. Did you use 1" pvc?

Alright, I've decided to build a custom canopy for this tank. Might as well go the whole 9 yards! I'll be using 48" T5 shop fixtures from home depot for the canopy, so look for process photos of that build coming up in the near future!
