RO/DI Unit Question

That is the same system I have, except I don't have the pressurized tank. You probably won't need to use that, unless you don't have enough water pressure for some reason. I'm happy with the system. It takes up less than 2'x2' of wall space. As long as you have this much room, and a drain to run the waste line, you'll be fine. One tip - keep an eye on the DI cartridge (it's the clear cylinder on top). As you use the system, the resin will settle and you'll get a void on the inlet side. You'll want to top it off with more resin to maintain its efficiency.

It took about a full day using this system to fill my 120 g tank.
 
IMO de-ionized is better than RO/DI, it will be cheaper in the long run when you have no waste water, the resins last much longer and they produce cleaner water.
 
i ordered the one from aqua-safe for $189. They have terrible customer service. I hope the product is good. I'm trying to figure out what adapter I need if I do not want to tap into any pipes. I would like to use this system via the faucet (any faucet in the house)

That is the exact RO/DI unit I have. It works perfectly, I would suggest getting it. Just remember to buy a TDS meter. I ordered mine from a diffrent vender that AQUA-SAFE.
 
I ordered it yesterday. It comes with the TDS meter and PSI meter. Did you hook it up to your faucet or pipe?

I Hooked it up to my pipe in my basement. I could have put it under the sink but I want easy access to it. It comes with a saddle valve connection for the RO/DI filter. But saddle valves are not the best connection to use. What I did was T into the cold water pipe and I put a valve after that with a 1/4 crush gasket after the valve. When I get home today I will try to post a picture of what I did.
 
I'm currently renting so I'm trying to avoid tapping into pipes. I bought the faucet adapter. I hope this works.
