I use a "Mighty Mite" from a place called Air water ice on line. It costs about $100. It hooks up to any sink easily. I use it to change water on my discus tank cause they are so sensitive. I make the water in a big clean Rubbermaid trash can. Put heater and bubbler in the can to have it ready for the fish and then use a pump to pump it to the tank. This is a little RO unit that makes a trash can full in about eight hours. It works great for my purposes.

I well hook the ro Unit after my softener unless someone can tell be why not after reading a few articles they say it wont hurt the membrane it well help it

OK I done it , I just bought a RO/DI unit and it just went on sale so 10% off and would yea know the Canadian dollar has out done the US dollar and I saved few more bucks

What you guys think about this 7 stage RO unit on ebay?
And I see that there's a DI usually after the RO/. Is that a specific stage of filtration or is that something that we novices forget to add to the RO acronym?
