I recently bought a 24gal/day RO system. Its a Coralife Pure Flo II. It put out one gallon per hour when I first bought it about 6 six months ago, like it suppose to. Now I'm lucky to get half of that. I change the filters last week but that didn't help. The water in here is not all that hard its actually pretty good. Could it be the membrane causing this? I know when I turn the water off I get this really big splurt out of the system. Just how long does the membrane last? I only run the system to fill up my 2 seven gallon containers once a week. I'm lost here......

I tried that but it really didn't help me any at all. I've only tried it once though maybe after I make up a batch of water I'll try again.

Yup, I'd try after as well it seems to work better after the system has been primed.

call the company that makes your RO unit, they will be able to help you, hopefully

It depends on which membrane you have. A TFC membrane is for use with chlorinated water. A CTA membrane is organic and should only be used with chlorinated water. if your water source is not chlorinated bacteria will damage the membrane.

TFC is for non chlorinated water. But the Coralife and almost all other systems with TFC membranes can be used with either as they contain a carbon filter which will remove the chlorine.
